FROM SMALL BEGINNINGS

Founded in the late 1990s, the UPVC Door Company developed from humble beginnings. Entrepreneur James McGill, who was experienced in hardwood doors, saw a gap in the market for affordable UPVC doors at a time when most companies were charging around £1000 and decided to offer customers quality doors at realistic prices.

From producing two doors a week at a small garage workshop, the business evolved and James McGill went on to turn the UPVC Door Company into one of the biggest and best in the country.

For the last 14 years, the UPVC Door Company has been supplying hundreds of styles of doors and has built their business on offering customers an outstanding product at fantastic prices. It now has 6 showrooms across the central belt of Scotland and with more than 100,000 satisfied customers to date.

The UPVC Door Company is now the UK's largest supplier of UPVC doors to the public.

In January this year due to customer demand the company decided to add a comprehensive range of windows to its portfolio and started the UPVC Window Company. Jim explained, "Our door customers have been asking us for windows and whilst we have been offering this service on request we were not set up to offer this service to the general public. We have now put together a specialist team with over 30 years combined experience in the UPVC window business to offer customers the same level of quality and service they have come to expect from us".

"With the current costs of energy increasing at alarming rates, the main aim was to look at products which provided our customer’s with ways of reducing their utility bills. As an environmentally friendly company we also looked at the global aspect of energy usage. We can now offer our customers a full range of doors and windows which significantly improve the energy efficiency of their homes".
